Customer Care Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for visiting us at DennyHecker.com. As of 11/21/2008 we have made the decision to close 9 of our locations due to the economic challenges of today. During this transition period we hope to address our affected customers with answers to questions and concerns as timely and smoothly as possible. Below, you will find a list of Frequently Asked Questions with Answers. If your questions are not addressed below you can reach us at 888-836-8383 for additional assistance. We are open for business as usual at our remaining locations and will continue to work hard to earn your business.
| LOCATIONS Q: What locations are closed and which locations are open? A: Below is a list of all the Denny Hecker Locations which are wither open or closed. For the dealerships in the closed category, please note all operations including dealer trade, new vehicle sales, used vehicle sales, service, parts and accessory orders are inoperable. *Click on the dealership name to visit their website.
| SERVICE Q: I purchased a Car Care Package and/or Extended Warranty from a Denny Hecker Dealership that has been closed. What are my new service options? A: Your existing package will gladly be honored at any Denny Hecker service location. In addition, if you have received a coupon or service special in the mail for a closed Denny Hecker Location, that coupon may be honored at any open location. Check with a service advisor to schedule or inquire about a service appointment. Please also refer to the map below to see the location of these open Denny Hecker Sales and Service stores.
Q: I do not have a Car Care Service Package, but I do have a factory warranty and am still covered under that warranty. Where do I go for warranty work? A: Factory warranty work must be done at an authorized dealership of the same manufacturer. For example a Volkswagen vehicle can receive warranty work at any other Volkswagen location, regardless of where it was purchased. All service records are available at the authorized dealer.
Q: I received notification of a recall on my vehicle. Where do I take it if my Denny Hecker dealership is now closed? A: A factory recall is the same as factory warranty work. You can take your vehicle in to any dealership of the same manufacturer to have your recall work done. For example a Hyundai recall can be done at any other Hyundai dealership. It cannot be done at a Chrysler dealership.
Q: What is the difference between a service package and a warranty package? A: Service work includes any routine maintenance to the vehicle. Oil and Filter changes, Tire rotations, Cooling/Heating flushes, Belt and Hose replacement, etc are all examples of service work. Service work on your vehicle can be done at any other Denny Hecker dealership regardless of make or model of the vehicle. For example a customer of Hyundai of Inver Grove can receive service at Toyota of Inver Grove. Warranty work generally covers the unexpected break down or malfunctions of a vehicle. Wire harness malfunctions; exterior or interior physical damage,l power train and engine repairs are typically covered under warranty. Warranty work needs to be done at a participating dealership, meaning Volkswagen warranty work needs to be completed at a Volkswagen dealership, Chrysler warranty work needs to be completed at another Chrysler dealership, etc.
*Please not a Denny Hecker Extended Warranty Package is treated in exactly the same way as a customer care package and will be honored at any other Denny Hecker open location.
Q: How can I retrieve my service records from a Dealership that has been closed? A: Send an e-mail to customer@dennyhecker.com with Subject Line: Service Record Request. Please include the owner of the vehicle, year, make, model and last 8 digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) if available. If you do not have access to e-mail you may call 888-836-8383 to request those service records providing the same information.

If you have leased a vehicle, you can return it to any authorized dealer carrying the brand of vehicle you are leasing.
